Disney+ is gearing up to release its highly anticipated series, 'Star Wars: Acolyte', this summer. The news was confirmed by Collider, who reported that the first teaser trailer for the series was unveiled at last year's Star Wars Celebration in London, generating a lot of buzz and excitement among fans.

Set 50 years before the events of 'Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace', 'Acolyte' follows the story of a former Jedi Padawan and her master as they navigate through a constantly changing galaxy, while investigating heinous crimes. The series stars Lee Jung-jae as a Jedi Master and Jonas Suotamo as a Wookiee Jedi named Kellnacara. Other cast members include Jodie Turner-Smith, Manny Jacinto, and Charlie Barnett, but details about their characters have been kept under wraps.

With a total of 8 episodes, 'Acolyte' is being described by showrunner Leslye Headland as a mix between 'Frozen' and 'Kill Bill'. As a huge fan of both franchises, I am beyond excited to see how this unique combination will play out in the Star Wars universe.

As a Disney+ subscriber and a die-hard Star Wars fan, I cannot wait for the release of 'Acolyte' this summer. Lee Jung-jae's addition to the Star Wars family is a welcome surprise, and I have no doubt that he will bring his A-game to the series. With its intriguing premise and talented cast, 'Acolyte' is definitely one of the most anticipated releases on Disney+ this year.
