Popular TV host Kim Shin-young bid farewell to her role as the host of 'National Singing Contest' after the recording of the Incheon Seo-gu episode on September 9th.

Despite suffering from acute laryngitis, Kim Shin-young showed her unwavering passion for the show and her gratitude towards the audience during her final performance at the Incheon Seogu Human Resources Development Center. "Thank you to all the people who came here today. I am so grateful to be able to light my final spark in Incheon Seogu. This is my last stage," she shared with the audience.

Kim Shin-young was recently diagnosed with acute laryngitis and was unable to attend the live radio broadcast. There were doubts about her participation in the last recording, but she eventually took the stage and showed her love for the show, even though her voice was not in its best condition. "My voice is usually very loud, but due to laryngitis, it's not coming out well. Are you all okay with it?" she asked, showing her concern for the audience.

According to KBS, Kim Shin-young was informed of her departure from the show after hosting for about a year and six months. KBS explained that the decision to change the MC was made as part of an effort to overcome the crisis faced by the 44-year-old 'National Singing Contest' due to a decline in ratings. They also stated that the opinions of various viewers and the nature of the program were the top priorities in making this decision. As a result, senior comedian Nam Hee-seok was chosen as Kim Shin-young's replacement, and his first recording will take place on September 12th in Go-gun, Jeollanam-do.

As a fan of Kim Shin-young and a regular viewer of 'National Singing Contest', I am sad to see her leave the show. Her unique humor and energy always made the show more enjoyable to watch. However, I am also excited to see what Nam Hee-seok will bring to the show as the new MC. I wish both Kim Shin-young and 'National Singing Contest' all the best in their future endeavors.
