On the recent episode of SBS Power FM's 'Choi Hwa-jung's Power Time', singer Kim Bum-soo appeared as a guest and talked about his new single 'Sincerity' released on the 25th.
When asked if there was a challenge for his new ballad song 'Sincerity', Kim Bum-soo surprised host Choi Hwa-jung by answering, "There is a challenge this time." He explained that he wanted to hear the chorus part, "If I were to love you," with the voices and emotions of many people.
He proudly shared that many famous vocalists in Korea participated in the challenge, including Kim Jong-kook, Baek Ji-young, Na Yoon-kwon, Taey, Lee Seok-hoon, Sohyang, Jung In, Soyou, Hyorin, Ailee, Davichi's Haeri, Young K, and more. Even his husband, HaHa, is practicing for the challenge.
Kim Bum-soo personally reached out to these singers to ask for their participation in the challenge. He said, "I didn't contact them through my company, but I personally reached out to them because this is my first challenge ever. Except for a few, everyone kindly agreed to participate and even sent me their videos. Each one sang in a different style, and it was amazing."
During the show, Kim Bum-soo also shared an anecdote about his time as a trainee under JYP Entertainment with Park Jin-young. He revealed that Park Jin-young is known for being strict and tough on trainees, but he never tried to change or fix him. Instead, he always encouraged him and gave him love and support.
As a fan of both Kim Jong-kook and Kim Bum-soo, I am excited to see them collaborate on this new song challenge.
