The final episode of tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Marrying My Husband' left viewers with a bittersweet ending. As Oh Yoo-ra tragically passed away in a car accident, the fate of our main character Yoo Ji-hyuk took a dramatic turn.
The last episode saw the downfall of Jeong Soo-min (played by Song Ha-yoon) as she was arrested for attempting to kill Kang Ji-won (played by Park Min-young) and accidentally killing Park Min-hwan (played by Lee Yi-kyung). Meanwhile, Oh Yoo-ra, who had previously tried to kill Park Min-hwan, was also arrested as a suspect in the dump truck attempted murder case. However, she used her power and influence to get away with it.
Yoo Ji-hyuk's grandfather, Yoo Han-il (played by Moon Sung-keun), scolded Oh Yoo-ra, saying, "You've gone too far this time. Resign and don't participate in any company activities for a while. We're sending a volunteer group to Africa soon, so disappear there. And when you become a decent human being, you can come back." This showed that even her own family was disappointed in her actions.
Jeong Soo-min purchased a syringe to kill Kang Ji-won and went to her house, but little did she know that Yoo Ji-hyuk had already anticipated her move. He had learned martial arts and how to untie ropes from Kang Ji-won, and even installed CCTV cameras in their house.
In the end, Kang Ji-won proved to be smarter than Jeong Soo-min had expected and was able to defeat her in a fight. She declared her victory, saying, "No, this is my victory. I've learned so much from you. I wanted to destroy myself because of you, but now I can handle anything." This showed how much she had grown and matured throughout the series.
As a fan of 'Marrying My Husband', I couldn't help but wonder if there will be a season 2 epilogue to tie up any loose ends and give us closure. I believe that a season 2 epilogue would be a great way to show how the characters have grown and where they are now in their lives. It would also be a chance for the writers to explore new storylines and give us more of the heartwarming and comedic moments we've come to love.
In my opinion, 'Marrying My Husband' was a refreshing and heartwarming drama that kept me hooked until the very end. I hope that the producers will consider giving us a season 2 epilogue to satisfy our curiosity and give us a proper farewell to these beloved characters.
