# Nam Hee-seok Mentions 'Kim Shin-young' at First Nationwide Singing Contest Recording

Popular TV personality Nam Hee-seok made his debut as the new MC for KBS 1TV's 'Nationwide Singing Contest' on October 12th. The first recording took place in Goun-myeon, Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do.

According to reports, Nam Hee-seok appeared tense before the recording began. He shared, "I couldn't sleep at all because I was so nervous. We started at 9 AM, but the fun and energetic cast and rehearsals made me forget about my fatigue."

With the encouragement from those around him, Nam Hee-seok took the stage and greeted the audience as the new MC. He said, "Hello to everyone across the nation, and to the sailors who are far out at sea, our brave military personnel, and the citizens of Jindo who have joined us today. Also, a warm welcome to the tourists who have come from all over the country."

Following MC Song Hae's departure, Kim Shin-young has taken over as the host for 'Nationwide Singing Contest' since September 3rd, 2022, when the recording took place at the KOLON Outdoor Music Hall in Dalseo-gu, Daegu.
