IU, one of the most popular K-pop artists, has opened the door to her world tour with a more magnificent scale. After wrapping up her Seoul concert, she is now ready to meet her K-pop fans around the world.
On October 10, IU held the final four shows of her "2024 IU H. E. R. WORLD TOUR CONCERT" at KSPO DOME in Seoul's Songpa-gu. The concert had previously taken place on October 2, 3, and 9.
This solo concert by IU is her first in about 1 year and 6 months since "The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun," which was held at the Olympic Main Stadium in 2022, making her the first solo artist to perform at the venue. At this concert, IU also revealed the stages for all the songs from her recent mini album, "The Winning," for the first time.
Moreover, IU showcased a more lavish stage production and visual scale at this Seoul concert. She maximized the advantages of the 360-degree venue to provide the audience with an immersive experience. She also used her official cheering stick, "Aike," to showcase remote-controlled mapping.
The opening performance was also spectacular. Descending from the ceiling of the gymnastics arena on a mini crane stage, IU kicked off the show with her hit songs "Hold My Hand" and "Jam Jam." The addition of young girls as dancers added a lovely charm to the performance.
After finishing the opening, IU exclaimed, "The sound gets louder every time we do the opening. No matter what we do, the sound is always loud. But yesterday was truly epic." She then wondered if they could make it even louder today, saying, "I was wondering if we could make it even louder, and here we are, the final show."
Before performing "Celebrity," IU shared her thoughts on the concert, saying, "I'm so grateful for all the love and support from my fans. I'm amazed by the scale of this concert, and I'm excited to see what we can achieve in the future."
