Joy News 24 reporter Lee Mi-young reported that the identity of the steamy sauna on "King of Masked Singer" was revealed to be singer Beomjin. On the episode that aired on the 21st, MBC's variety show "King of Masked Singer" featured the 4th consecutive challenge of the reigning champion "Incense" and the 2nd and 3rd round battles between masked singers.

In the 3rd round, a heated showdown between the sauna and the rock band Hee Ro Aelakdo took place. The sauna, with its charming vocals and warm emotions, captivated the audience with their rendition of Crying Nut's "Myeongdong Train." Meanwhile, Hee Ro Aelakdo chose Cherry Filter's "Pianissimo" and put on a daring performance with live band accompaniment.

In the end, Hee Ro Aelakdo emerged victorious with a significant lead in votes, securing a spot in the King's battle. The identity of the sauna was revealed to be none other than the next-generation emotional ballad singer, Beomjin.

Beomjin expressed his gratitude, saying, "I didn't expect to make it to the 3rd round. Thank you." He gained attention three years ago with his song "Greetings" making a comeback on the charts. He added, "I can't believe it. Even my teenage friends recognize me now."

 

Beomjin is the younger brother of singer Jinju. He mentioned Jinju's past appearance as a King with her song "Ddallang Ddallang Jondal Sae" and said, "I was there at the time and I played a big role."

With a 17-year age gap between him and Jinju, Beomjin joked, "I was born when she was singing 'I'm Fine.' I have four older sisters. People may think I was spoiled, but I lived like a warrior. I had to survive. I even cooked during holidays and grew up to be strong."

As a panelist on the show, SF9's Yu Taeyang revealed that he went to the same school as Beomjin and said, "I was the class president. I was a bit more popular."

Beomjin concluded, "I am not just Jinju's younger brother, but also singer Beomjin's older sister."
