Divorced Kim Saerom's Story of Being Set Up on a Celebrity Blind Date by Kim Gura? Recently, TV personality Kim Saerom made headlines when she revealed a story about being set up on a blind date by fellow celebrity Kim Gura. During her appearance on MBC's 'Escape: Breakup Mediation Service', Saerom shared that she had refused the blind date arranged by Kim Gura, who had suddenly called her and showed her a photo of a famous person, saying, "How about this person?" As it turns out, the person Kim Gura wanted to introduce her to was KBS PD Lee Chang-soo, who had previously appeared on 'Radio Star' and talked about wanting to meet Saerom. As a history buff and avid drama watcher, I was eagerly anticipating the KBS2 drama "Goryeo Mongol War" which promised to bring to life the epic tale of Emperor Hyeonjong and General Gang Gam-chan's fight against the Mongol invasion. However, the recent controversy surrounding the drama has left me disappointed and frustrated.

The drama, which was supposed to air for 20 episodes, has been put on hold for a week due to accusations of historical distortion and conflicts between the production team and the original author, Jeong Woo Lee. The controversy has even sparked truck protests outside the KBS building, showing the level of disappointment and anger among viewers.

In their response to a petition from viewers, the production team stated that the drama was meticulously researched and written by Jeong Woo Lee, with the guidance of historical experts. However, it seems that the drama has deviated from the actual historical events, focusing more on palace intrigue and personal relationships rather than the war itself. This has caused a backlash from viewers who were expecting a more accurate portrayal of the Goryeo Mongol War.

The production team has promised to take into account the viewers' feedback and make necessary changes to ensure a high-quality drama. They have also addressed the conflicts with the original author, clarifying that Jeong Woo Lee was the sole writer for all 20 episodes.

As a fan of historical dramas, I understand the importance of accuracy and the responsibility of the production team to portray events as they truly happened. However, I also believe that creative liberties can be taken to make the story more engaging. I hope that the remaining episodes of "Goryeo Mongol War" will strike a balance between historical accuracy and entertainment value.

In conclusion, I am disappointed with the controversy surrounding "Goryeo Mongol War" but I am also hopeful that the production team will take this opportunity to listen to viewers' opinions and deliver a well-crafted drama that does justice to the rich history of the Goryeo Mongol War.
