Experience the Magic of the 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympics Opening Ceremony with Lunite!

As a fan of K-pop, I was thrilled to hear that my favorite group, LUN8, was invited to perform at the 2024 GangwonOlympics opening ceremony. The event, which took place on July 19th at the Gangneung Speed Skating Stadium, marked the first time that Asia hosted the Winter Youth Olympics and the largest number of participating countries in the history of the event.

LUN8, consisting of members Jinsoo, Kael, Takuma, Junwoo, Dohyun, Ian, Jiunho, and Eunseop, graced the stage with their high-energy performance. As a unit called LUN8wave, they performed their hit song "Playground" and their debut title track "Wild Heart," showcasing their passion and charisma to the world. Member Jiunho also sang the theme song of the GangwonOlympics, "We Go High," along with Triple S member Suda Hyun, adding a special touch to the ceremony.

 

Being able to perform at such a prestigious event was an honor for LUN8, as they expressed through their agency Fantagio, "We are grateful to be a part of the 2024 GangwonOlympics opening ceremony. We have heard that this event is the first to be held in Gangwon Province since the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, and we are excited to be able to cheer on all the hardworking athletes who have trained for this moment."

As a fan, I couldn't be prouder of LUN8 for representing K-pop and South Korea on a global stage. Their performance at the GangwonOlympics was not only a testament to their talent and hard work but also a symbol of the country's growing influence in the world of music and sports. I am confident that they have left a lasting impression on the audience and have contributed to making the opening ceremony a success.
