Divorced Kim Saerom's Story of Being Set Up on a Celebrity Blind Date by Kim Gura? Recently, TV personality Kim Saerom made headlines when she revealed a story about being set up on a blind date by fellow celebrity Kim Gura. During her appearance on MBC's 'Escape: Breakup Mediation Service', Saerom shared that she had refused the blind date arranged by Kim Gura, who had suddenly called her and showed her a photo of a famous person, saying, "How about this person?" As it turns out, the person Kim Gura wanted to introduce her to was KBS PD Lee Chang-soo, who had previously appeared on 'Radio Star' and talked about wanting to meet Saerom. Former idol and current broadcaster Lee Ji-hye expressed her concerns about her daughter Tae-ri's future.

On the 25th, the YouTube channel 'Not Annoying Fangirl Sister' uploaded a video titled 'Lee Ji-hye's Daughter Tae-ri's Final Rebellion Against Her Mother'.

That day, Lee Ji-hye revealed that she went to a karaoke for the first time with Tae-ri. She was surprised to see Tae-ri singing with a look that said 'I've discovered a new world. I'm so happy.' She asked, 'Did you see her getting greedy for the microphone?'

The daughter that parents want

Lee Ji-hye asked her husband, "What do you want Tae-ri to become?" To this, Moon Jae-wan replied, "Since she likes drawing, I hope she can grow in that direction. Personally, I think she would be interested in being a tax accountant or a scientist. Something in the field of science." He also added, "If that's too difficult, I just want her to be happy." Then he asked, "What about being an idol?"

In response, Lee Ji-hye said, "Honestly, when I see idols like Jang Won-young, they are so pretty. In the past, there was a saying that if you're too pretty, your singing skills are lacking, or if you're too good at singing, your looks are lacking."

Lee Ji-hye's reasons for opposing idols

Moon Jae-wan then questioned, "Why does your wife hate the idea of Tae-ri becoming an idol? Is it because she has walked a difficult path herself?"

Lee Ji-hye replied, "Do you really not know? If Tae-ri becomes successful as an idol, that's great. But what if she becomes one of the cases where it doesn't work out? Can you handle the stress and depression that the child will face? Can you handle it, brother?"

She continued, "Let's say Tae-ri has been a trainee since 6th grade, middle school, and high school just to become an idol."

The struggles of the idol industry

It's no secret that the idol industry is a tough and competitive world. Many young trainees spend years training and sacrificing their youth in hopes of debuting and achieving fame. However, only a small percentage of them actually make it to the top, while the rest either struggle or give up on their dreams.

As a mother, Lee Ji-hye worries about her daughter's well-being and future. She knows the harsh reality of the idol industry and doesn't want her daughter to go through the same struggles. She wants her daughter to find happiness and success in a field that she truly enjoys, rather than chasing after the fleeting fame and beauty standards of the idol world.

In my opinion, Lee Ji-hye's concerns are valid and relatable. The pressure and expectations placed on idols, especially young trainees, are immense and can have a negative impact on their mental and emotional well-being. As a society, we should support and encourage young individuals to pursue their passions and dreams, rather than pushing them into a cutthroat industry that values superficial qualities over talent and hard work."
