From 'Picnic' to 'Great Success' The Story Behind Im Young Woong's Song Being Chosen as the Ending Track...Kim Young Ok Exclaims 'Jackpot'!

The press screening for the movie 'Picnic' was held on the afternoon of the 23rd. 'Picnic' tells the story of two best friends and in-laws who take a trip to their hometown of Namhae after 60 years, where they are reunited with memories from when they were 16. The movie is set to be released on February 7th.

The reason why 'Picnic' has been a hot topic even before its release is because singer Im Young-woong's song 'Sand Grains' was chosen as the ending track. This is the first time Im Young-woong's song has been featured in a movie. His second self-composed song, 'Sand Grains,' with its lyrical and emotional melody, perfectly complements the restrained emotions of actors Moon Soo-hee and Kim Young-ok, creating a moment of utmost touching for the audience.

On this day, director Kim Yong-kyun shared, "I thought we needed a song that would add a complex emotion to the ending of the movie, and I thought Im Young-woong's song would be perfect. So our production team wrote a heartfelt letter and Im Young-woong kindly accepted it." He also added, "And Im Young-woong even generously offered to donate the music copyright fee. I would like to express my gratitude once again, and also to the 'Im Young-woong era' fans."

Actor Kim Young-ok also revealed her special connection to Im Young-woong. She is known to be a big fan of his and even recently attended his concert with Moon Soo-hee.

Kim Young-ok shared, "'Sand Grains' is a beautiful and calming song. The production team asked if I could make a request, and I was more than happy to do so."

As a fan of Im Young-woong and a lover of his music, I am excited to see how his song will enhance the emotional impact of 'Picnic.' I am grateful to Im Young-woong for his generosity and I can't wait to experience the magic of 'Sand Grains' in the movie.
