[Hans Economy = Reporter Lee Hyun-ryung] Singer Lee Ji-hye strongly opposed when her husband mentioned the possibility of their daughter becoming an idol in the future.
On the 25th, a video titled 'Lee Ji-hye's Daughter Tae-ri's Final Rebellion Against Her Mother' was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Not Annoying Stalker Sister'. In the video, Lee Ji-hye had a conversation with her husband about their daughter's future.
Her husband expressed his hope for their daughter to pursue a career in the arts or science, saying, "Since she likes drawing, it would be great if she can grow in that field. Being a tax accountant or a scientist would also be interesting." He then added, "If it's too difficult, how about something like being an idol, which can bring happiness?"
In response, Lee Ji-hye showed her disapproval with a sigh. She said, "To be honest, if you look at idols these days, like Jang Won-young, they are really pretty." She continued, "In the past, if someone was too pretty, their singing skills were lacking, or if they were too good at singing, their looks were lacking."
When her husband asked, "Why does my wife dislike the idea of our daughter becoming an idol? Is it because she has walked a difficult path herself?" Lee Ji-hye replied, "Do you really not know why I'm telling her not to become an idol?"
She went on to say, "To become an idol, I didn't study for 6 years from 6th grade to middle school and high school. I was just a trainee and then debuted, but my first album didn't do well and it all fell apart. So what about the rest of her life?" She asked, "How will she handle the disappointment and depression that I experienced?"

To this, her husband said, "We'll have to find another path. You have to overcome it."
In my opinion, Lee Ji-hye's concerns and reservations about her daughter becoming an idol are valid. The entertainment industry is known for its harsh and unpredictable nature, and it takes a lot of hard work and luck to succeed as an idol. As a mother, it's understandable that she wants her daughter to have a more stable and secure future. However, it's also important to support and encourage our children's dreams and passions, even if they may seem risky or unconventional. Ultimately, it's up to the individual to decide their own path, and as parents, our role is to guide and support them along the way.
