Kim Hyun-joo said that she felt like she had given a more realistic performance than ever before through 'Sun Mountain'. She also mentioned the intense fight scenes with her on-screen husband, played by Park Sung-hoon, saying, "It was fun to film. I realized that my previous characters didn't have such explosive emotions." She added, "There were things that I had been holding back, and I also had a desire to do more, but at the same time, I had to restrain myself."
