Han So Hee has been the talk of the town due to her meeting with Song Hye Kyo, but expressed disappointment over the decision to drop out.
On the 15th of last month, actress Han So Hee, who played the role of Chae Ok in the Netflix series 'Kingdom: Ashin of the North', sat down for an interview at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul. 'Kingdom: Ashin of the North' tells the story of people who lived through the era, including Chae Ok, who encounters a creature created by Japanese experiments in 1945 Seoul while searching for her mother.
Han So Hee led the drama as Chae Ok in seasons 1 and 2 of 'Kingdom: Ashin of the North'. She reminisced about when she first joined the project, saying, "I knew from the beginning that there would be seasons 1 and 2. I only knew that season 1 would be set in Seoul and season 2 in modern times. The script only showed the Seoul era."
Regarding her character Chae Ok in 'Kingdom: Ashin of the North', Han So Hee said, "I had only one goal. My mother." She continued, "There are a lot of lines that say 'I'll do it, I'll take care of it', but I think it's because she can't trust anyone else. She has a bit of a temper. When I think about her personality before her lines, it seems like she followed her mother on her own. I wanted to portray her personality, which is willing to sacrifice everything, including her own life, to find her mother."
She also mentioned her favorite line from the drama. "I'm not particularly sad about dying, but if no one remembers me or even my existence, that's a bit sad," she said. "It's not a line that's meant to make you cry, but it was so difficult to say it out loud."
In my opinion, Han So Hee's performance in 'Kingdom: Ashin of the North' was truly captivating. She portrayed Chae Ok's determination and strength in a way that was both realistic and moving. Her chemistry with Song Hye Kyo was also a highlight of the drama. I can't help but feel disappointed that she won't be returning for future seasons. However, I am excited to see what projects she will take on next and I have no doubt that she will continue to impress with her acting skills.
