Park Shin-hye and Park Hyung-sik's Chemistry in Rom-Com Were They Really That Close?
Get ready to fall in love with the new Korean romantic comedy, "Doctor Slump"! The highly anticipated drama held its production presentation on the 25th, with director Oh Hyun-jong and stars Park Shin-hye, Park Hyung-sik, Yoon Park, and Gong Seung-yeon in attendance.
"Doctor Slump" follows the story of two individuals, played by Park Hyung-sik and Park Shin-hye, who have hit rock bottom in life but find a chance at redemption through each other. Director Oh, who previously brought us the hit drama "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo," returns to the romantic comedy genre after seven years. He shared, "When I first received the script, I couldn't help but feel sorry for the characters. Doctors lead such intense lives, yet they hide their pain and continue to push forward. I wanted to shed a warm light on these characters and their struggles."
Park Hyung-sik, known as the "romantic comedy master," expressed his excitement for the drama, saying, "I love finding the perfect chemistry with my co-stars. Even on set, I would think of fun ways to deliver my lines and if the other actors responded well, the scene would come to life. That's how I gained confidence in my acting."
Park Shin-hye, who plays the female lead, couldn't help but praise her co-star, saying, "He's so good at what he does. There were times when the director didn't even give us a cut sign because we were so in sync." Park Hyung-sik added, "Breathing together is the most important thing. We got to know each other so well that by the first shoot, it felt like we've known each other for a long time."
As a fan of Korean rom-coms and the talented Park siblings, I can't wait to see their chemistry on screen. "Doctor Slump" seems like a heartwarming story that will make us laugh, cry, and fall in love with the characters. Don't miss out on this must-watch drama!
