Actress Shin Hye-sun, who recently starred in the drama 'Welcome to Samdal', revealed the similarities between herself and the character of Samdal.

On the 28th, Shin Hye-sun appeared on JTBC's 'News Room' to talk about her experience filming the drama.

When asked by anchor Kang Ji-young if the drama felt like a child to her, Shin Hye-sun replied, "When I first received the script, I chose this project because I wanted to heal as a human being. The drama's warm storyline brought back forgotten feelings and touched me deeply."

She continued, "I am grateful to have been a part of such a heartwarming drama."

Kang Ji-young then mentioned, "There seems to be some similarities between Samdal and Shin Hye-sun." To which Shin Hye-sun replied, "Since she was young, Samdal has always had a strong dream. She never wavered and always pursued her dream, which is something I can relate to."

Shin Hye-sun added, "I have always lived with the single goal of becoming an actress since I was young."

When asked about filming a crying scene more than 30 times, Shin Hye-sun honestly replied, "I regret that day a lot. It was just me trying to satisfy my own desires." She also shared that she realized she needed to let go of her greed after filming that scene.

In my opinion, Shin Hye-sun's dedication and determination to pursue her dream of becoming an actress is truly admirable. Her portrayal of Samdal in the drama was heartwarming and relatable, making her a perfect fit for the role. I look forward to seeing more of her amazing performances in the future.
