Recently, the wife of broadcaster Park Soo-hong, Kim Daye, has spoken out on her social media account regarding the ongoing trial of her sister-in-law on charges of defamation. The public's attention has been drawn to her response.

Kim Daye posted a screenshot of an article about the trial on January 26, 2024, and expressed her disbelief, saying, "Oh.. So there was no intention to defame, but they gave false information to a YouTuber and instructed their friend to leave malicious comments?"

On the same day, the Seoul Western District Court held the first trial of A, Park Soo-hong's sister-in-law, on charges of violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.

A's legal representative stated, "There was no intention to defame," and added, "There was a reasonable belief that the false information mentioned in the indictment was true."

According to the prosecution, A spread false information related to Park Soo-hong's ex-girlfriend in a mobile messenger group chat with the intention of defaming him. She also faces charges of defaming Park Soo-hong by falsely claiming that he lied about his brother and sister-in-law embezzling his money.

Previously, a YouTuber was referred to trial for spreading rumors about Park Soo-hong and his wife. During the trial, it was revealed that A was the source of the false information provided to the YouTuber.

It is concerning to see that even after the YouTuber's trial, A continues to deny any intention to defame Park Soo-hong and his family. It is clear that her actions have caused harm and distress to the couple, and it is important for her to take responsibility for her actions.

In my opinion, it is disappointing to see someone continue to deny their wrongdoing even after being caught red-handed. It is crucial for individuals to be accountable for their actions, especially when it involves spreading false information and causing harm to others. Let's hope that justice will be served in this case.
