# Hwang Chan-sung to Star in Japanese Drama 'Sunda Bang Inyeon'

Korean singer and actor Hwang Chan-sung has been cast as the lead role in a Japanese drama. According to Eljulai Entertainment, Hwang Chan-sung will star in the joint production of 'Sunda Bang Inyeon' by Fuji TV TWO and Hikari TV.

'Sunda Bang Inyeon' is a fantasy love story set in a retro-style tea house on the outskirts of a shopping district. The story follows the interactions between the handsome Korean master, Siu, and the people who come to visit the tea house, all searching for a way to reconnect with someone from their past. Rumors say that if you visit this tea house, your broken ties will be mended.

 

Hwang Chan-sung shared his excitement about his first lead role in a Japanese drama, saying, "I am honored to be chosen as the lead for 'Sunda Bang Inyeon' by Fuji TV TWO and Hikari TV. When I read the script, I was immediately drawn to the warm and fantastical story. I wish a place like this actually existed." He added, "Although we haven't started filming yet, I am looking forward to it and will do my best to make it a great production. Thank you."

Hwang Chan-sung made his debut as an actor in 2006 and then debuted as a member of 2PM in 2008. He has gained immense popularity in Japan as well. This drama will not only be his first lead role in a Japanese drama, but he will also be in charge of the theme song. Since his solo debut in Japan with the mini-album 'Complex' in 2018, Hwang Chan-sung has been actively pursuing both his singing and acting careers.
