ATEEZ has once again proven their status as one of the top K-pop groups in the industry. On April 20th, they were chosen as the 'K-Pop Artist of the Year' at the international music event, Record Store Day.

Record Store Day is a global event that aims to support independent record stores. Each year, many famous artists participate by releasing limited edition albums exclusively for the event. This year, ATEEZ was selected as the first K-pop group to receive the title of 'K-Pop Artist of the Year'.

 

Michael Kurtz, co-founder of Record Store Day, expressed his excitement for ATEEZ's recognition, stating, "I am thrilled that we can finally celebrate ATEEZ at Record Store Day. It's very exciting to see them on the Coachella lineup this year, and I am delighted to have them as our first 'K-Pop Artist of the Year'."

ATEEZ's second full-length album, 'The World Episode Final: Will', released in December last year, topped the US Billboard 200 chart, solidifying their global fame. The album also stayed on the chart for six consecutive weeks, and the group also achieved first place on the Top Current Album Sales, Top Album Sales, and World Album charts, making them the first K-pop group to do so.

Not only did the album reach second place on the UK Official Albums Chart, but ATEEZ also became the first K-pop boy group to enter the top ten. Their success on the charts proves their growing popularity and influence in the international music scene.
